This Directory was born out of a perceived need for a comprehensive listing of All Panama related websites.
Many websites have a links section, which is a great start, but provides a limited solution due to the information being fragmented across individual sites.
Another issue I have observed during my years here I will simply refer to by the local expression, "Juego Vivo". A trait not exclusive to Panamanians.
If you throw your teddy out of the pram whenever someone disagrees with you, do it on your own site. You are still welcome to place a listing here.
Fear of competition, cliques, greed. Whatever the reason, I have yet to see a totally independent Directory open to all.
I operate a number of internet businesses, mostly unrelated to Panama, so am well placed to operate this directory without bias.
The only business that I operate that could remotely be classed as Panamanian is panama-webhosting.com and that business gets less than 5% turnover from local trade, simply because I see no reason to limit myself geographically.
Any other panama webhosting business is welcome to place a link in the directory and provide better value.
Listings in the directory are placed using a points system. Google page rank is one factor, backlinks are the other.
A twist here is that you can also place links to one of my other websites. An additional advantage for both sites is that these backlinks are not reciprocal.
You get a one way link from this directory, one of our sites gets a one way link from you.
Each backlink you place is worth 1 point. Google PR is also worth 1 point per PR level.
Date of submission is the decider in the event of equal points, so get your listing in soon.
Spanish and English language websites and descriptions are equally welcome.
Listing your site is free, improve your position by backlinking or adding content to your own site for improved google PR.
The listings are done by both category and alphabetically, for the convenience of our visitors. For you this has the advantage of 2 opportunities to get a top 10 listing and putting your site in front of the viewer.
The overall top 10 listings are also shown on the front page of the site.
Listing details include an extended description as well as Google, Yahoo, MSN and Alexa statistics.
